Hi, nice to meet you! My name is John Lugtu a Software Engineer and outdoor enthusiast from the San Francisco Bay Area. Graduated from California State University, East Bay in 2016 with a degree in Computer Science. I love to develop beautiful and impactful applications with a handful of languages and frameworks. Ruby, Rails, React, Redux, Java, D3, and PostgreSQL are the technologies I’m comfortable with but not limited to. Hoot is a single page web application built with React/Redux, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Google Places API, and Google Maps API. Users can search for existing businesses or places anywhere in the world by their search criteria.

Stock is an interactive data-visualization application built with JavaScript, AJAX, D3, and Alpha Advantage API. Showcases top tech companies annual stock values by month in D3's interactive radial tree node, also known as a Sunburst. The application utilizes D3's line graph with historical and predictive data by a searched Stock.

Immerse is a virtual reality phobia treatment application built with React-VR. The user is allowed to pick a phobia and an intensity level which will help them build tolerance of their fear.
